Owl Babies

After reading owl babies in nursery, we talked about the three baby owls from the story — Sarah, Percy, and Bill — and then had a go at ordering different owls by size. The children did a wonderful job using words like “biggest,” “smaller,” and “tiny!” πŸͺΆ

* πŸ’› WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY πŸ’›*

Dear families.

As a school, we feel it is important for us to recognise and support everyone's mental health.

To acknowledge World Mental Health Day, we are inviting all children to attend school in something yellow on Friday 10th October 2025.

We kindly ask that children donate £1 and all monies raised will go to Young minds charity.

Thank you #WorldMentalHealthDay2025

OPAL Playtime Donations

Good morning, families!

We’re excited to share that our children are having a blast during playtime, and the OPAL project is really taking off! This week, we’re on the lookout for any old pots, pans, and kitchen utensils you no longer use. If you've got any spare items lying around, we’d be absolutely thrilled to give them a new life in our play sessions!

Also, don’t forget to check out some fun snapshots of the kids enjoying their lunchtime activities from last week! πŸ“Έ

Thank you so much for your ongoing support! You truly make our community awesome! πŸ’–

🍞🍞Making Bread 🍞🍞

Last week in Year 2 Moonstone, we had a fun history lesson about how people used to make food from scratch. The highlight was baking our own bread, which everyone found delicious!
