Please join us in congratulating our Y5 pride and value award winning pupils this week.

In FS2 this week, the children have been busy exploring lots of new learning!

In Maths, we have been investigating repeating patterns. The children enjoyed creating their own patterns and spotting them in the world around us.

In Phonics, we continued learning the set 1 sounds and got busy writing them.

We’ve also been developing our speaking and listening skills by using our Kagan partners to talk about what we like and don’t like. The children loved sharing their ideas and listening to each other!

It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they learn, share and work together.

Next week we dive into matching and sorting in math, talking more about our families in Literacy and continue learning through our play!

Join us on Thursday, 25th September at 2:30pm for a special family history lesson! The Y1 children are excited to work on their family trees, and they’d love your help to create their own.

Today, our creative little explorers had a blast using fans to discuss the idea of transient art. 🚀✨ It's amazing how something so simple can spark such imaginative conversations! 🎨💨

Y4 had a blast in art class! They got creative with bubble wrap printing, and the results were amazing! The kids loved the squishy texture and vibrant colors. 

Y4 had a blast drawing on tables to partition numbers! 🎨✏️ It’s amazing how a little creativity can make learning so much fun! Can't wait for our next session!

Dear families,

Our Year 4 students will be visiting the beautiful Shire Brook Valley Nature Reserve! Here are the dates for each class:

🌟 Y4 Peridot - 24th September

🌟 Y4 Turquoise - 6th November

🌟 Y4 Onyx - 12th November

The pupils will engage in the fantastic Young Rangers Discovery Program led by Discovery Outdoors. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to connect with their local environment and enhance their map skills—all while having fun outdoors!

Please make sure your children arrive promptly at school by 8:40 AM, as we'll be catching the 52 bus and taking a short walk to the nature reserve. We’ll be back in plenty of time for home time, so no need to worry!

A reminder that children will need to bring a packed lunch, as they’ll be enjoying their meal at the reserve. If your child usually receives a free school meal, don’t worry—a meal will be provided for them.

Let's prepare for a day filled with learning and fun! It's important that the children dress warmly and be ready for any wet weather—getting muddy is all part of the adventure!

While the trip will show up as free on Arbor, we are kindly requesting a contribution of £2.00 to cover the return bus fare. Please make any payments at the school office. Also, don’t forget that all parents must give consent via Arbor.

Beast Journey

This week in Y1, we had a blast making props and masks for our exciting 'Beast Journey'! We also practiced our sentences using 'I' to get ready for the big reveal later in the week. Can’t wait to share more of our adventure! Stay tuned!
