Y5 had a brilliant (but cold) trip to Sheffield Ampitheatre where we took in magnificent views of the city. We sketched the skyline and the buildings that stood out to us in order to prepare for our final piece in art.

** Parent Forum Meeting **

NOTE MEETING WILL NOW START AT 9.15am

Good morning families.

We were due to hold the parent forum meeting on Friday 2nd February, however due to a short term and Ramadan due to start early March we will now hold the parent forum meeting on Friday 8th March at 9.15am in the infant hall.

We have been very impressed by the number of parents who have attended the last two meetings and hope to see you all again in March. Our principal will present latest school updates, news and plans for the school year.

Y5 LOVE our new library. We have enjoyed exploring all the cosy spaces and sharing our love of books with friends.

Book Fair

Dear families

We will have the Scholastic book fair in the junior hall starting today at 3.15 - 4pm. We will be selling book everyday after school until Monday 29th January.

Please join us in congratulating our Y5 pride and value award winning pupils this week.

Creative Stories

Year 5 got their imagination going by picking random objects out of a basket and using them to generate ideas for a story. This inspired them to plot short stories.

Y5 have written some beautiful metaphors and similes to describe scenes from the animation 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'.
