Y6 Trip to Magna

Last week, Y6 had a wonderful day at Magna Science Adventure Centre. We had fun working as a team to solve a problem using our knowledge of electrical circuits, we explored the air, water, fire and earth pavilions and even had time to go in the adventure playground!

Y6 Homework

Dear Y6 families

From today, your Year 6 child will be able to access weekly maths, reading and SPaG homework on:

TEAMS – HHA Team Year 6 – General – Class Materials – Homework.  Please click here to view the full letter

To access this, you child can take their Chromebook home from school on a FRIDAY. This MUST be returned to school on MONDAY mornings fully charged, ready for the week’s learning in the classroom. To allow this to happen, you must sign a ‘Chromebook Acceptable Use Policy’. Your child has been given a copy for you and them to sign.

We can provide paper/ workbooks and pencils if required.

Although there is no expectation that pupils complete the homework, we do encourage that they do complete it as it will support the learning in the classrooms and will enable them to revise and practice key skills, thus preparing them for their SATs tests.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Many Thanks,

Mrs. Mitchell (Year 6 Lead)

Y6 Autumnal Poems

This week, Y6 have enjoyed creating autumnal poems, focusing on the use of subjunctive form and personification.  We have compiled all of our poems into a class anthology, which we will be able to read and share all year.
