Class Christmas Parties

Dear families,

Mark your calendars for Friday, 19th December! We're hosting our end-of-term class Christmas parties for all the children in the afternoon, and it’s a non-uniform day!

We'll enjoy games and tasty treats together. If you could please send some food for your child to share, that would be wonderful! School will provide drinks. Just a quick reminder to avoid any nut products and to bring the food in that morning.

If your child has allergies, please ensure their medical records are updated in the office.

Got questions? Feel free to chat with your child’s class teacher.

We can’t wait for a fun-filled afternoon!

Thank you for your support! πŸŽ„βœ¨

OPAL Playtime Donations

Dear families!

We’re excited to share that our children are having a blast during playtime, and the OPAL project is really taking off! This week, we’re on the lookout for any old wellies, buckets, spades, and sandbox toys that you no longer use. If you've got any spare items lying around, we’d be absolutely thrilled to give them a new life in our play sessions!

Also, don’t forget to check out some fun snapshots of the kids enjoying their lunchtime activities from last week! πŸ“Έ

Thank you so much for your ongoing support! πŸ’–

🌟 **Exciting Opportunity: Parent Governor Role!** 🌟

Dear Families!

An exciting position has opened up for a parent governor within our school community. Parent governors play such an important role—they’re the vital link between the school and our parents!

Your voices matter, and this is your chance to share any concerns or ideas that you, and others, might have. We want to ensure everyone feels heard and valued!

So, what’s involved? It’s pretty simple! You’ll need to attend 3 full governing body, and staff link meetings —just one each term.

This is a great opportunity to represent the vibrant voices of our parent community!

If you're interested in stepping up and making a difference, just pop into the school office to grab an application form! Thank you so much for considering this fantastic opportunity. Together, let’s make our school the best it can be!

For more exciting info on what being a governor is all about, check out this link:

The closing date for applications is **Friday, 19th December at 12 noon**

πŸ§β„οΈ Exploring Arctic Animals with Our Senses! β„οΈπŸ»β€β„οΈ

Our Nursery children have been discovering animals that live in icy places! Using magnifying jars and pictures, they looked closely to spot who might be hiding inside. πŸ‘€βœ¨

We also used our rainbow sense fans to help the children talk about what they could see, feel, and hear as they explored the animals — encouraging rich language and sensory learning. πŸŒˆπŸ”

Arctic Animals

β„πŸ§Arctic Animals β„πŸ§

The nursery children have been using pictures from our story Arctic Animals to build their own “who doing what” sentences. This activity helped them practise early sentence structure, strengthen their vocabulary and develop their understanding of the actions different Arctic animals can do.

They looked carefully at each picture, then used their own pictures to build the sentence on their shape coding boards. They then practised naming the pictures and reading their sentences aloud with growing confidence. 🌟

This activity supported:

✨ Early reading skills

✨ Speaking and listening

✨ Vocabulary building

✨ Understanding the world

A wonderful way to bring our Arctic learning and literacy skills together! β„οΈπŸ’™
