Y3 Stone Age Workshop Trip

Dear Parent/Carer,

As part of our history topic this year, Year 3 will be studying Prehistoric Britain. To support and enrich the children’s understanding of this fascinating period, we are pleased to inform you that we have arranged an exciting educational trip to take part in a Stone Age Workshop at The Green Estate, Sheffield.

The workshop will provide hands-on experiences, including learning about prehistoric tools, hunting techniques, and life in a Stone Age settlement. It will be a fun and educational experience that will bring history to life in a memorable way.

The visits will take place on:

Y3 Citrine- Monday 24th November 2025

Y3 Tanzanite and Y3 Zircon – Tuesday 25th November 2025

The cost of this trip will be £10 per child, which covers the cost of the coach and entry to the workshop. Please return payment and consent via the Arbor app. You may pay in installments of £2.00 until the full payment is received.

Please make sure that your child brings a packed lunch for the trip. If your child receives free school meals, one will be provided for them.

Please ensure that the children arrive at school at the normal time of 8:40am. We plan to return before the end of the school day, so pick-up will be from your child’s classroom at 3:15pm. Should there be any delays, our office team will be sure to contact you. To facilitate this, please check that your contact details are up to date at the school’s main office.

For this trip, children must wear full school uniform, including sensible shoes or wellies, as some activities will take place outside. In the event of wet weather, we kindly ask that all children bring a waterproof coat with their name clearly written on it. It’s important to ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather on the day. If you have any other questions or queries about the trip, please talk to your child’s class teacher.

Thank you for your continued support.
