Cooking with Chefs

Our Year 5 children had an amazing time yesterday! They spent the morning working with chefs from Taylor Shaw. The children learnt about healthy recipes and picked up some fantastic culinary skillsπŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ₯— #HealthyEating #FutureChefs

OPAL Playtime Donations Alert!

Afternoon families!

We’re super excited to share that our Opal Play project is a hit with the children during lunch times! πŸŽ‰ To make it even better, we’re reaching out for your help!

This week, we’re on the lookout for any old pots and pans, baking trays and sieves that you might have tucked away and no longer use. If you have any of these items, we’d love to give them a new home in our play sessions!

And guess what? We’ve got some fun snapshots of the kids enjoying their lunchtime last week! πŸ“Έ

Thank you so much for your ongoing support! You make our community awesome! πŸ’–

Dear families,

Join us for the Scholastic Book Fair in our school library from Friday 12th June to Thursday 18th June! We'll be open every day after school until 4 PM.

Explore a fantastic selection of children's books, and remember, every purchase contributes to our school's cashpot for more library books. Last year, thanks to your support, we received £167.20 to enhance our library!

Hope we see you there?

Y5 Space Centre Visit

Dear Parents/Carers,β€―

On Tuesday, 16th June Year 5 will be going on a trip to The National Space Centre in Leicester. As part of the ‘Space’ topic, they will explore the 6 galleries which are crammed full of space suits, rockets, satellites, and meteorites. Additionally, children will visit the iconic Rocket Tower and the UK’s largest domed planetarium.β€―β€―

Children will be eating their lunch at the museum, therefore will need a packed lunch and a drink. If your child normally has free school meals, they will receive a free packed lunch.β€―β€―

Children need to arrive at school no later than 8:00am and we will be returning to school around 4 o’clock.β€―

The cost of the trip is £20.00 which includes entry to the museum and a planetarium show where children will be immersed in a full 360º cinema experience. It will also include transportation by coach to and from the venue. If you need to pay this amount in instalments, please speak to the office and they will arrange this with you.

All monies need to be paid through the arbor app or by bank card with the school office as we no longer accept cash. β€―

If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher or any member of the Y5 team.β€―

Yours sincerely

Year 5 Teamβ€―
