On 10th December, we’re keeping it simple and sweet—there's no need for donations, just wear your most fabulous Christmas jumper to school!
And don’t forget, a delicious Christmas Dinner will be served in the Dining Room! ๐
Can’t wait to see everyone’s jumpers and enjoy some great food together!
This week in Nursery, we are reading Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. The children loved the story of the little boy and the penguin and we decided to learn more about these amazing animals!
We created our very own penguins using different shapes and materials — adding beaks, wings, and feet just like in the story.
We also explored ice and light to see where penguins might live and talked about what makes them special.
We loved seeing the children’s creativity and curiosity come to life through play and storytelling!
Yesterday we welcomed the Sheffield Family Hub into our nursery for a wonderful Play, Chat and Learn workshop
Children and parents explored lots of exciting activities together — from creating colourful artwork and sorting woodland animals, to exploring textures, leaves, and storytelling inspired by We’re Going on a Bear Hunt!
It was lovely to see so many shared moments of learning through play. A big thank you to the Family Hub team and to all our families who joined us!
Good morning, families!
We’re excited to share that our children are having a blast during playtime, and the OPAL project is really taking off! This week, we’re on the lookout for any old musical instruments, wellies and kitchen utensils you no longer use. If you've got any spare items lying around, we’d be absolutely thrilled to give them a new life in our play sessions!
Also, don’t forget to check out some fun snapshots of the kids enjoying their lunchtime activities from last week!
Thank you so much for your ongoing support! You truly make our community awesome!

Many thanks
Our nursery children have been busy building their fine motor skills through a variety of exciting autumn themed activities this week! From threading and tweezing to cutting and tracing, they’ve been strengthening those little hand muscles ๐ช๐จ
These hands-on experiences help prepare children for early writing, self-care skills, and so much more — all while boosting confidence and independence. ๐
A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for the lantern parade yesterday! What a brilliant afternoon it was, filled with singing, dancing, and a fabulous fire show! Plus, there were so many delicious treats for all to enjoy! Congratulations to our lantern winners too! Another fantastic community event that brought us all together! Can't wait for the next one! #LanternParade
FS1 had so much fun exploring our Autumn-themed water tray! Using sponges, scoops, and lots of imagination, they discovered pumpkins, pinecones, and other autumn treasures hidden in the bubbly water. ๐๐
This sensory play activity encouraged teamwork, language development, and fine motor skills — all while celebrating the wonderful colours and textures of the autumn season. ๐โจ
Festival of Lights!
Before the holidays our nursery children had a wonderful time learning all about the Festival of Lights!
They explored the beautiful traditions of Diwali by:
Designing their own colourful rangoli patterns
Creating intricate henna designs
Making bright and beautiful Diyas to light up our classroom
It was a joyful, creative, and sparkly celebration full of colour, laughter, and learning!
