World Book Day 2025

We have had a great day immersing ourselves in the amazing world of literature today!

Children took part in live reading events with authors, university students visited school, and read stories to children in Danish, Korean and Japanese, and parents and carers also came into school this afternoon for a fun filled afternoon of reading with their children

Y3 have started World Book Day early by having story tellers from around the world.

We have loved listening to 'The Bear Who Went to War' with Grzegorz who is from Poland. Don't forget to wear your pyjamas tomorrow!

Y3 Darnall Church Visit

As part of our RE topic about Christianity & lent our Y3 children visited Church of Christ in Darnall this week. The children had a great time learning about Lent and Easter, tossing pancakes, and cross treasure hunt.

Our Opal Play project is proving very successful with our children during lunch times. With help from our parents and carers we would like to make it even more successful. We are asking for donations, each week we will suggest a different item. This week we would like any buggies/prams that you may have stored away that you do not use anymore.

Please join us in congratulating our Y4 pride and value award winning pupils this week.

🙏🙏 Charity Events 🙏🙏

Many thanks to our families for their kind donations on our non uniform day and sweet sale last term. We raised £238 for Weston Park Hospital and £43 for Sheffield Children's Hospital

As part of our Y3 RE topic we are learning about Christianity and lent within the diversity of our community. In order to develop our knowledge and understanding further we will be visiting The Church of Christ in Darnall.

If you would like to support our trip as a parent volunteer, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

In Y3 we have had so much fun working as Geographers and finding where volcanoes are located.
