Dear families

At High Hazels, we are committed to creating a school environment where every child feels safe, valued, and respected. Today is “Show Racism the Red Card” day, children and staff were encouraged to wear red clothing to symbolize standing up against racism. This visual statement helps to show unity and support for the cause.

Our school was very red today!

๐Ÿฆ‰๐Ÿฆ‰ Owl visit for nursery & reception children ๐Ÿฆ‰๐Ÿฆ‰

As part of our topic on ‘It’s Getting cold Outside’ and ‘Autumn’, we will be looking at nocturnal and woodland animals.

On Tuesday, 12th november we have invited the Wise Owl Falconry to visit us with a range of birds including owls to support our understanding of their way of life. To help us fund this visit we are asking for £4.00 to be payable via the app which will include a photo of your child with a bird. Please also consent on the arbor app.

The company and the school have put a detailed risk assessment to ensure all safety measures are in place and in line with government guidelines.

In the meantime, why not visit their website with your child at https://www.wise- owl.co.uk/ and discuss different birds of prey?

Thank you in advance for your support.
