On Thursday, we started out mini topic which is all about Darnall. As a class, we asked the question, Who lives in Darnall? The children were then given facts about the people of Darnall, they exchanged facts with each other and then wrote all of their facts that they had learnt onto a graffiti wall. The children discovered lots about the people who live in Darnall. Next lesson, we will be making paper chains and writing the information that we collected on them to create an interesting piece of art.
Today, year three learnt how to subtract a one digit number from a three digit number using exchanging. They used straws, pots labelled tens and ones and the column method to calculate their answers.
