High Hazels a Great Place to Learn & A Great Place to Work
Our Vision is for every child and adult to be the best that they can be. We will achieve this by following the principles of United Learning’s Framework for Excellence: The Best in Everyone, Powerful Knowledge, Education with Character, Continuous Improvement, and Leadership in every Role.
We are an inclusive school with high expectations for all pupils and staff. We strongly believe all children can achieve both socially, emotionally and academically, in a supportive and nurturing environment, where all feel valued, challenged and supported. We encourage our pupils to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and creativity.
Our curriculum enables children to master substantive and disciplinary knowledge in depth, to make meaningful links between their learning and to broaden their cultural capital. Our curriculum celebrates diversity and supports the development of personal skills and curiosity, helping children to understand themselves, their place in the world and the valuable contribution they will make.
In five years' time, High Hazels will be an outstanding school, which is a great place to learn and work, with high quality professional development for all. We will continue to develop strong links and work closely with parents the local community.
High Hazels Primary Academy will be a hub of academic excellence which is at the heart of the local community, and everyone associated with it will feel an immense sense of pride.

United Learning Ethos and Values
Our approach is underpinned by a sense of moral purpose and commitment to doing what is right for children and young people, supporting colleagues to achieve excellence and acting with integrity in all our dealings within and beyond the organisation, in the interests of young people everywhere.
We summarise this ethos as the best in everyone. This ethos underpins our core values:
Autumn 1 - Ambition – to achieve the best for ourselves and others
Autumn 2 - Confidence – to have the courage of our convictions and to take risks in the right cause
Spring 1 - Respect – of ourselves and others in all that we do
Spring 2 - Determination – to overcome obstacles and reach success. As a single organisation, we seek to bring together the best of independent and state sectors, respecting both traditions and learning from each. We believe that each of our schools is and should be distinctive – each is committed to developing its own distinctive strengths and identity while sharing our core values as institutions which promote service, compassion and generosity. This ethos is our expression of our Christian roots, in schools which are fully inclusive and both welcome and respect students and staff of all faiths and none.
Summer 1 - Creativity – to imagine possibilities and make them real
Summer 2 - Enthusiasm – to seek opportunity, find what is good and pursue talents and interests
