What an amazing week in FS2!

We started the week with a fantastic Diwali workshop, where the children made beautiful divas, created salt rangoli patterns, and enjoyed some dancing! 💃✨

In Maths, we explored one more and one less and compared numbers up to 3.

In Literacy, we had lots of fun in Drawing Club, designing our very own super-powered pumpkins! 🎃💥

We hope everyone has a lovely, restful break next week. 🌈

After the holidays, we’re excited to begin our new topic — People Who Help Us — with lots of special visitors planned! 🚒👮‍♀️👩‍⚕️

Our very popular parent and toddler group will take place each Monday, 1.30 - 3pm in The Woodlands. The cost will be £1 per child which will cover the cost for snack and crafts. The sessions will start again on 3rd November.

Children can enjoy song time, nursery rhymes, puzzles and books and children will have different crafts every week.

All are welcome, we look forward to seeing you there.

Our first appointment kicks off at 3:20 PM, and we're going to do our very best to stick to time! If you haven't booked your Parent Evening appointment yet, don't worry—you can easily do that through the Arbor app.

We’re excited to share that our children are having a blast during playtime, and the OPAL project is really taking off! This week, we’re on the lookout for any old musical instruments, suitcases and kitchen utensils you no longer use. If you've got any spare items lying around, we’d be absolutely thrilled to give them a new life in our play sessions!

What a busy and exciting week we’ve had in FS2! Our little learners have been superstars — exploring numbers through subitising and representing 1, 2, and 3 in so many creative ways. 👏

In literacy, we enjoyed the lovely story “Pumpkin Soup” 🥣🎃 — a perfect autumn tale that got everyone talking, sharing, and imagining their own soup recipes!

We’ve also been strengthening those fine motor skills with lots of Pen Disco and Dough Disco fun 💃🖊️ — dancing, drawing, and moulding our way to confident writing hands!

And of course, our Phonics sessions have been full of blending, and discovering new sounds together. 🔤

FS2 is full of smiles, curiosity, and learning through play — we’re so proud of our amazing children! 🌟

Special thanks to the parents who attended our workshop this week and our phonics drop in sessions.

Next week we look forward to more amazing learning as we dive into composition in Math, writing instructions in Literacy and of course more fun!
