20 November 2025 FS2 Learning & Fun FS2 have had another amazing week of learning! In maths we’ve been having fun practicing our composition of numbers to 5. In literacy, the children have absolutely loved listening to the story of Supertato! We even got creative and designed our own super veggies! We’ve also been building sentences using our shape coding boards and working hard to sound out words, trying to hear as many sounds as we can. A big thank you to all the parents who joined our phonics sessions! It’s so wonderful to have you in class supporting your little ones' learning journey. Make sure to keep an eye out for all the exciting events coming up! We have an owl visit and a parent breakfast focusing on oral health – it’s going to be fun! And don’t forget to grab your tickets for our winter sing-along. Plus, keep those entries coming in for our Supertato spud competition! Next week, we’re looking forward to even more fantastic learning adventures! Read more

18 November 2025 FS1 & FS2 Owls Visit Dear Parent / Carer, As part of our topic on ‘It’s Getting cold Outside’ and ‘Autumn’, we will be looking at nocturnal and woodland animals. On Thursday 4th December we have invited the Wise Owl Falconry to visit us with a range of birds including owls to support our understanding of their way of life. To help us fund this visit we are asking for £4.00 to be payable via the app which will include a photo of your child with a bird. The company and the school have put a detailed risk assessment to ensure all safety measures are in place and in line with government guidelines. In the meantime, why not visit their website with your child at https://www.wise-owl.co.uk/ and discuss different birds of prey? Thank you in advance for your support. Yours sincerely, Miss Hibbert Read more

13 November 2025 FS2 Learning is Fun! What a wonderful week we’ve had in FS2! We’ve really enjoyed continuing our topic “People Who Help Us.” This week, we had a special visit from a lifeguard, who told us all about how they keep people safe at the beach and pool. We also had an exciting Zoom call with a farmer in Devon, who showed us some of the animals on the farm and explained all the important jobs farmers do every day We’ve included lots of lovely pictures from our Teddy Bear Hospital visit too — the children had a fantastic time learning how doctors and nurses help to care for us (and our teddies!) This week we also learnt about Remembrance Day, talked about why we remember, and made our own beautiful poppies to mark the occasion And don’t forget — Children in Need is tomorrow! We can’t wait to see everyone in their spotty clothes to help raise money for such a wonderful cause Read more
