Autumn 1 Blog - Week 8

In literacy this term we have been reading "The Runaway Chapatii" and "The Little Red Hen".  We have been focusing on letter formation, capital letter, full stops and finger spaces.  We tasted chapattis and rated them out of 10.  This term in maths we have been focusing on place values with numbers to 20.  We have been sorting, counting and finding one more and one less.  In topic this term we have been focusing and Geography and Computing.  We have been exploring human and physical features of cities and farms.  We have also been using beebots to create algorithms.  We are very proud of how the children have transitioned into Year 1

Visit from Hobgolblin Theatre - 10th December

As part of your child’s wider curriculum offer, he/she will be given the opportunity to watch a performance of ‘The Snow Queen’ on Tuesday 10th December 2019 in school.

The performance is part of their literacy, music and performing arts curriculum and will be an opportunity for your child to learn new skills, develop musical knowledge and enjoy a live performance.

This is a special opportunity and every child in Key Stage One to engage with. Therefore, we kindly ask that you provide £2.50 to cover the expense of the performance before Tuesday 10th December.

If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s teacher.
