Dear Parents/Carers
Leadership at High Hazels Academy
We hope that everyone is enjoying the new term. Despite the ongoing challenges of Covid19, we are pleased that pupils are continuing at pace with their learning. After seven years as Headteacher of High Hazels Academy, Mrs Maqsood-Shah will be leaving the school at the end of the academic year. She has been appointed as Regional Director within a Primary Trust. This is not a decision she has taken lightly, and we will be very sorry to see her leave. She has been an excellent Headteacher for the school and, has been very successful in managing the challenges of Covid-19. Her dedication to the school and its community has been superb. I know that everyone in the school will wish her well for the future and thank her for the contribution she has made to the school’s success. She is, of course, fully committed to the school until the summer and is looking forward to a productive six months.
We will now begin a national recruitment exercise to appoint her successor. We hope to attract a strong field of candidates and to have our new Head in place for September. We will, of course, ensure a smooth transition between Mrs Maqsood-Shah and her successor so that there is no disruption to the strong progress underway at the school. Thank you for your continued support of the school during this very important time for catching up on any lost learning due to the Pandemic.
Best wishes
Sir Jon Coles Darran Ellison-Lee
Chief Executive Director of Primary Education
