Dear Parent/Carer
As part of our new topic, ‘Hot and Cold Deserts!’ We are excited to inform you that all the year 2 classes will be going on a school visit to the seaside in Bridlington! We hope to make a memorable day for the children and further their understanding of life at sea and on the coast.
The children will have a full day on the beach making sandcastles, paddling in the sea; picnic lunch and a whole year group sing song! The visit will take place on Thursday, 21st July.
Bridlington is quite a distance from our school so in order to get a full day at the seaside we aim to leave school at 8.30am, so please arrive at school at 8am. We expect to return to school by 4pm. If there are any delays, the office team will contact you by 3.30pm. Please make sure your contact details are correct at the main office.
The cost of the trip is £12 per child. This covers the cost of the coach and an ice cream at the seaside. Please visit the Arbor app/portal to give consent and pay. Without your contribution it may be necessary to cancel the visit. We understand that some families may need to pay in instalments to help spread the cost, if so, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
What your child needs to bring
We advise children bring a backpack containing a change of clothes, a sun hat, and a bottle of water with their name on. Children must wear sensible shoes, a raincoat and must apply sun cream (depending on the weather) before they leave home. Please ensure that all clothing is labelled with their name. All children will be provided with a packed lunch from school.
If you have any questions, please either call the school office or speak to your child’s class teacher
Thank you for your continued support
Yours sincerely
Year 2 team.
