During this half term Year 3 have continued to learn about invaders. The children had the exciting opportunity to take part in our Viking day where we learnt about Viking activities, clothing and even food. Many children dressed up and we learnt lots from our Viking visitor! The children have focused on the geography of the topic this half term looking at maps and human and physical features of settlements.
Year 3 have really developed their art skills this half term as well focusing on drawing lines, to then build up to drawing flowers based on Edith Holden work.
Throughout the term, the children have learnt about their physics science unit- light. Children have taken part in exciting investigations looking at reflection and shadows. They have worked scientifically by measuring shadows and recording results.
Finally, the children have also enjoyed taking part in music lessons this half term where they have listened to and discussed different genres. They have enjoyed singing and following rhythms using glockenspiels
