Returning to School September 2021

Its the end of the year - Lets see what's been happening in Y5..............

As the end of the school year approaches, year 5 can look back on an exciting period of learning opportunities and successes - full of fun activities such as sports day and enrichment clubs. As well as conducting market research for different types of bread, they have carried out a small research project on the world’s climate presenting their findings as an informative leaflet or poster. By the end of the term, they will write a letter to a local member of parliament sharing their concerns about global warming. Excitingly, they have been introduced to the work of the great playwriter William Shakespeare and through their reading and writing they have studied the play ‘Macbeth’. They have been immersed in the Shakespearian language and had the wonderful opportunity to appear in a dramatisation of this play after the visit of SPLAT, learning lines and creating props for the production. The children performed magnificently and there are definitely some budding actors in our midst. Once again, it has been an enjoyable but busy half term and we look forward to a fantastic group of children becoming year 6 students.

Award Winners 2021

Dear Parents/Carers

It is very important that school and parents work closely together to celebrate children’s achievements, and in doing so, children realise their potential and develop a strong sense of achievement and motivation to succeed.

Every year the school relishes the opportunity to celebrate the achievements of our pupils.  We are delighted to announce that today in the lovely sunshine we held our High Hazels Academy Annual Awards Ceremony, as for the past 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic we have been unable to do so.

Well done to all the winners.

After School Club Feedback

Dear Parents/Carers

Due to covid restrictions we have had to change how clubs are run in school, despite this we have managed to run a range of after school enrichment clubs, which are a good way for children to make new friends, have fun and learn new skills.

We would love to hear feedback from parents and pupils aboput our enrichment clubs, and any ideas pupils have for new clubs.

Please can parents click on the link below to complete a short questionnaire
