What a busy, fun filled term full of learning we have had in nursery! We started the term off learning about nocturnal animals and had a visit from the Wise Owl Falconry Rescue centre. During this visit we got to watch a barn owl fly across the hall, eat and even got to hold an owl for a photograph!
We have also learnt about how different winter festivals are celebrated. We have learnt all about bonfire night, Diwali, Halloween, and Christmas. We talked about safety around fireworks, made biscuits and firework pictures. For Diwali, we talked about who and how people celebrate it in the community as well at home and made firework biscuits to take home. For Christmas we made cards, calendars, read lots of Christmas stories and decorated a real Christmas tree!
As well as all these celebrations we also continued to explore all areas of nursery with our friends, learning to share and talk about our feelings. As we did this, we developed our confidence in new social situations and started to think about how others may feel. We also enjoyed playing and learning in our outdoor area climbing on the climbing frame, riding the bikes, collecting autumn leaves, and playing games with each other. We are so excited for next term where we will continue to learn and play with our friends! Remember to ask us all about our learning!
