Arbor - New Management Information System

Dear Parents/Carers

Since we returned to school in September we are using a new management information system called Arbor.

The school will now the Arbor parent portal to send messages to parents, as well as letters and other school information.  Parents will now use the Arbor parent portal app to pay for dinners, milk, snack, uniform, trips and events.  Parents will also be able tp sign up for clubs and actitives in school, as parentmail and My ed will no longer be used by the school.

Arbor is a simple, smart and cloud-based MIS (Management Information System), which helps us work faster, smarter and more collaboratively as a school. The Arbor App and Parent Portal mean we can keep you informed about your child’s life at school in a much more accessible way.

Log into Arbor to see and update your child’s information, get live updates and make payments or bookings on the go!

The Parent Portal works on Google Chrome (computer or laptop) and you can download the Arbor App from the App Store or Google Play Store on your phone (Android 5.0; iOS 10.0 and upwards).

Please click here to watch a short clip about the Arbor Parent Portal App

How to get started:-

Its week 3 😊 Let’s see what’s been happening in Y6…………………….

This week, Year 6 have started to learn about a new artist. His name is L.S. Lowry and we have spent time researching his life and most famous works. The children have already started to create a fact file on his life before and after he was an artist. We are looking forward to developing our skills in the next few weeks and learning to paint in the style that he did!

Its week 2 😊 Let’s see what’s been happening in Y6…………………….

This week Year 6 have made a great start to our writing journey by starting a unit on poetry. We have explored and formed opinions on the poem ‘If the world were’ by Joseph Coello and examined some of the literary devices that he uses including metaphors, similes, personification and hyperbole. We used our knowledge to create a class anthology full of perfect, performing poetry that were suited to a particular purpose and audience. Here are a few examples of some of our great ideas.

School Sandwich Menu - Starting 2nd September

Dear Parents/Carers

I am delighted to report that we have had much of the work completed on Junior playground over the summer holidays. However, our kitchen refurbishment will not be completed until end of October. This means that we have had to alter the menu offer for this period. This has been carefully designed to ensure that despite not having a fully functioning kitchen for a few weeks our children get a nutritious, enjoyable, and balanced meal every day. To see the menu for the next two weeks, click on this link.

Many thanks
