Dear Parents/Carers,
On Thursday 6th June Year 5 will be going on a trip to The National Space Centre in Leicester. As part of the ‘Space’ topic, they will explore the six galleries which are crammed full of space suits, rockets, satellites, and meteorites. Additionally, children will visit the iconic Rocket Tower and the UK’s largest domed planetarium.
Children will eat their lunch at the museum, and therefore will need a packed lunch and a drink. If your child normally has free school meals, they will receive a free packed lunch.
Children need to arrive at school no later than 8:15am and we will be returning to school around 4 o’clock.
The cost of the trip is £24.90 which includes entry to the museum and a planetarium show where children will be immersed in a full 360º cinema experience. It will also include transportation by coach to and from the venue. If you need to pay this amount in instalments, please speak to the office and they will arrange this with you.
All monies need to be paid through the arbor app or by bank card with the school office as we no longer accept cash.
If you would like any further information, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher or any member of the Y5 team.
Yours sincerely
Year 5 Team
