Parents Forum, Parent Workshops, Family Learning and Coffee Mornings
Coffee mornings are held for parents and carers, and they take every Friday morning 9-11am in The Woodlands. Coffee mornings are a place to discuss agendas and topics for the Parent Forum meetings which are held once a month at the academy. We have some exciting workshops happening in school each year.
We offer a wide range of family learning for our parents and families. This year our family learning sessions included:- family fun workshop, learning through play, my family and me, decoupage crafts, make it work, maths KS2, EY workshops & english courses. Please click here for the full list
We had 3 family learning programmes running from January - March 2020:-
Make it Work will run from Thursday 23rd January until Thursday 26th March 1-3pm in The Woodlands - this programme is a 10 week course that will offer skils required to get back into work.
Parenting Course for Roma Slovak Parents will run every Wednesday starting from 22nd January - 18th March 2020 12.45 - 2.45pm in The Woodlands - this programme is an 8 week course that will offer supporting parenting skills.
Stepping up with maths will run every Thursday starting 27th February - 12th March 9-11am in The Woodlands - this programme is a 3 week course that will offer skills to support your child with KS2 math skills
Our parent forum meetings for this academic year were held on will take place on: Friday 18th October 2019, Friday 13th December 2019, Friday 7th February 2020 - refreshments will be served from 9.15am and each meeting will start promptly at 9.30am - all of the meetings will be held in the Woodlands Hub, please come along and share your views to help improve the school.
