Nursery - please enter through the nursery building.

FS2 - Y6 - head on in through the main school entrance and wait outside your child’s classroom.

Our first appointment kicks off at 3:20 PM, and we're going to do our very best to stick to time! If you haven't booked your Parent Evening appointment yet, don't worry—you can easily do that through the Arbor app.

We’re excited to share that our children are having a blast during playtime, and the OPAL project is really taking off! This week, we’re on the lookout for any old musical instruments, suitcases and kitchen utensils you no longer use. If you've got any spare items lying around, we’d be absolutely thrilled to give them a new life in our play sessions!

High Hazels Herald - 20th October 2025

What a busy and exciting week we’ve had in FS2! Our little learners have been superstars — exploring numbers through subitising and representing 1, 2, and 3 in so many creative ways. 👏

In literacy, we enjoyed the lovely story “Pumpkin Soup” 🥣🎃 — a perfect autumn tale that got everyone talking, sharing, and imagining their own soup recipes!

We’ve also been strengthening those fine motor skills with lots of Pen Disco and Dough Disco fun 💃🖊️ — dancing, drawing, and moulding our way to confident writing hands!

And of course, our Phonics sessions have been full of blending, and discovering new sounds together. 🔤

FS2 is full of smiles, curiosity, and learning through play — we’re so proud of our amazing children! 🌟

Special thanks to the parents who attended our workshop this week and our phonics drop in sessions.

Next week we look forward to more amazing learning as we dive into composition in Math, writing instructions in Literacy and of course more fun!

The children in FS2 took home autumn bags and went for a lovely walk to collect all sorts of autumn treasures. 🍂✨ We had a blast using our rainbow fans to discuss the amazing things they found! 🌈

Diwali Sweet Sale

Join us on Wednesday, 22nd October to celebrate Diwali! The PTA will be selling sweet cones after school on the yard. Don’t miss out!

High Hazels Academy is excited to continue our partnership with The Sheffield Parent Carer Forum to enhance the school experience for children with additional needs.

Join us for our first parents and carers meeting on Thursday, 23rd October at 9am at High Hazels Academy. This is a great opportunity to share your thoughts and connect with other parents.

We’ll discuss:

• Behaviour

• Anxiety

• Coping strategies

Plus, we'll tackle other school-related topics and answer any questions you might have. Drinks and snacks will be available!
