Our Y4 students have been exploring the fascinating lives of children from the Kayapo tribe, and it’s been an incredible journey of discovery. 🏞️✨

From their vibrant traditions to the unique ways they connect with nature and community, our kids have gained a whole new perspective on childhood! 🎈 They’ve been learning about traditional games, storytelling, and how important it is to respect and care for Mother Earth. 🌍❤️

FS2 have had another fantastic week of learning!

In Maths, we’ve been busy exploring length, mass and capacity, while in Literacy we’ve been discovering the magic of the changing seasons. The children have loved spotting all the wonderful signs of Autumn and sharing their ideas.

A big thank you to everyone who brought back their Autumn walk bags – they’ve been a brilliant way to bring our learning to life!

Y2 Moonstone had great fun dissecting seeds and uncovering all their secrets. 🌱✨ It was so much fun learning about each part and how germination works!

Dear Parents/Carers

On Friday, 9th October the Year 1 children will be going on a visit to Sheffield Crucible Theatre. This is part of a music project that they children have been involved with. They will see a performance of the story The Storm Whale and be able to join in with the songs. Children will leave school at 9am and will be back in time for home time. 

The cost of the visit will be £2.00. This will cover the cost of the bus. Please can parents bring money in a sealed named envelope to the school office at least 1 week before. Please consent for the trip on the arbor app/parental portal. 

Children will receive a packed lunch from school. If your child has an allergy, please provide their lunch for them. 

They will need to come to school in their uniform.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask any of the Year 1 team.

What an amazing day Y2 had at Weston Park this week! The children had a blast exploring the museum and discovering all sorts of fantastic things. After soaking up some creativity from the galleries, we jumped right into a fun printing workshop! Can’t wait to share all our awesome creations with you! 🎨✨

The children in FS2 had a blast using their rainbow fans to chat about all the amazing vegetables they've grown at school. 🌟🥦 It’s wonderful to see their excitement for gardening and healthy eating! Keep up the great work, little green thumbs! 🌱✨

Our Year 6 superstars are diving deep into their history unit on the Anglo Saxons! 🏰📜 They’ve been flexing their chronology skills and connecting the dots on how Britannia was invaded. Working together like a dream team, they've managed to put together a stunning map and timeline in the right order! 🎉

Each map is filled with fascinating details as they’ve annotated it with the correct dates and descriptions of events. Such a fantastic way to learn history while having fun! Keep up the amazing teamwork, Year 6! 🙌✨

It’s our census day on Thursday, and we want all our amazing kids to enjoy a delicious school meal. Remember, every meal helps with school funding, making it a fun and tasty day for everyone!

Get ready for a scrumptious dish of fish and chips, and don’t forget to save some room for a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream for dessert! And just so you know, on Friday, 3rd October, we’ll be serving up some yummy pizza.
