Because school was closed for an INSET day this Thursday, we didn’t get to go to visit our friends at Housteads Care Home. The residents decided to make our children a card, and we were thrilled to open them today! They said that they missed us and can’t wait to see us next week ❤️ We feel the same!

We we very impressed with how many parents attended our first parent forum meeting in October and we hope to see you all again at our next parent forum meeting, which will be held on Friday 15th December in school at 9.30am. Our principal will present latest school updates, news and plans for the new school year.

We were delighted to be back at Housteads Care Home this week as part of the 'Adopt a Care Home' scheme. Some of our Y3s have started to make wonderful connections with the residents and enjoyed working together to produce a piece of artwork.

Dear Parents/Carers

Year 3 Zircon have started working incredibly hard in music this term and have been chosen to perform in a Christmas Singing Festival on Thursday, 7^th December 2023.  This is a wonderful opportunity for your child and is sure to be a fantastic day for all!

We will be performing at the Octagon Centre in Sheffield (S10 2TQ) with many other schools, and there will be an audience of up to 600 people! There will also be a video of the performance.

Arrive at school: 8:40am

Pick up from school: 3:30pm

We will be taking the bus to and from the Octagon Centre.

We are asking for £1.60 for the cost of the bus fare.  Please can you pay cash to your child’s class teacher.

Please make sure that your child brings a packed lunch for the trip.  If your child receives free school meals, one will be provided for them.

Please inform us if you would like to opt your child out of the video recording.

They are invited to wear Christmassy clothes for the concert.  This could be a Christmas jumper, t-shirt, red and green clothes, tinsel etc.  Please ensure that they also wear a warm coat.
