Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all our mums and carers.

We hope you have a special day.

Thank you for everything you do and for simply being you!

Seedlings and saplings have made Mother's Day cards. They put a tea bag inside so that mummies can have a cup of tea to relax and put their feet up on Sunday.

Maker Move Van - STEAM Workshop in school

Dear Parents/Carers

I am excited to inform you that we have a planned a special visit for Y1-Y6 during British Science Week.

This Workshop/visit will take place on Monday 11th and Tuesday 12th March 2024 and your child will attend one session.

The Maker {Move} Van will return to deliver a workshop where pupils can engage in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) challenges. The focus is on making without a specific goal in mind. Pupils will get the opportunity to create, tinker, test and modify which will develop the skills they need to solve complex problems. We can't wait!

The cost of this workshop is £2 and can be paid via Arbor. The school office is happy to help if you require support with this.

If you have any further questions, please do ask your child’s class teacher.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Dear Y5 families

We are delighted to let you know that all Y5 classes have the opportunity to take part in a bouldering taster session at The Climbing Works. This is sure to be a wonderful afternoon for all and is a fantastic opportunity for your child to learn new skills, challenge themselves and have fun with their friends.

The event will take place on

Wednesday 13th March 2024 - for Y5 Quartz

Wednesday, 20th March 2024 - for Y5 Alexandrite

Tuesday 26th March 2024 - for Y5 Ametrine

There is no cost for this trip. The children will leave school at 1.30pm and return to school for 4pm.

There is a limited number of places so not all children will be able to attend. Places will be offered on a first come first serve basis. You need to consent on the arbor app top allow your child to take part.

For further information on Bouldering, please visit their website.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher or Mr Sexton.

Thank you for your continued support.

Community Cohesion

Y5 Ametrine spent a fun day at Park Academy yesterday for a community cohesion day. We learnt some first aid, self-defence and what to do if we feel threatened.
