Good evening families,

Temperatures are continuing to soar this week so can we kindly ask you to ensure that your child attends school with a water bottle and sun hat.

Sun cream can either be applied before school or brought into class but please be aware that staff members cannot apply sun cream. Children will have to apply their own sun cream if it is brought into school.

The Y3 team would like to invite Parents to a MEET THE TEACHERS BREAKFAST to give you the opportunity to share breakfast with your child and to chat with your child’s teachers.

Lifelong Learning & Skills Annual Awards 2024

We are so proud of our parents who were invited to the town hall yesterday for the annual Lifelong Learning & Skills Annual Awards. Our parents met the Lord Mayor and enjoyed an afternoon tea.

Richard Smith, Sheffield City Council’s Head of Lifelong Learning and Skills, said:

“We’re really delighted that we can recognise all of their achievements and celebrate that today.”

Dear families

Year 4 Onyx have worked incredibly hard in music this term and have been chosen to perform at the One Voice Singing Festival on Tuesday 2nd July 2024. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child and is sure to be a fantastic day for all!

We will be performing at the Octagon Centre in Sheffield with many other schools.

Arrive at school: 8:40am

Pick up from school: 3:30pm

We will be taking the bus to and from the Octagon Centre.

We are asking for £2 for the cost of the bus fare.

Please make sure that your child brings a packed lunch for the trip. If your child receives free school meals, one will be provided for them.

Please inform us if you would like to opt your child out of the video recording.

They are invited to wear colourful t-shirts for the concert – any colour is fine, the brighter the better!

Good morning families

We would love to invite parents from Y6 Rhodonite (Miss Grieves) class to watch their showcase assembly on Friday 21st June at 10.30am. The children are so excited to showcase examples of work they have done so far this term. Please come along if you can.

Class Eid Parties - Friday 21st June

Good morning families

I hope all our families had a wonderful Eid Mubarak.

On Friday 21st June all year groups will hold Eid Parties in their classrooms.

We would really appreciate it if you could donate some food for the children to share at the party. School will provide drinks. Please try and avoid food that contains nuts and remember that the school tries to promote healthy eating.

The parties will take place in the afternoon, so please can food be brought in with the children in the morning. Nursery children will have a party in the morning and afternoon session.

Please note that Friday 21st June will also be a non - uniform day for all the children.

As always, if your child has any allergies then please ensure their medical records are up to date in the office.
