Students in Y4 have been exploring the use of polka dots to create a sense of infinity, just like Yayoi Kusama. They used paint, bubble wrap and marker pens to explore texture, equality, size and overall effect of their chosen techniques. It seems we have some talented artists in Year 4!

Dear families

Our first set of Opal (Opportunities for Play and Learning) equipment went out onto the field yesterday. It was Y6 field day, the building site, mud pit and sand pit were a great success. The children were engaged and genuinely upset when lunchtime ended.

On our new building site some of the Y6 boys role played for over 40 minutes!

In the sandpit the children built sandcastles and some of the girls built a volcano.

In Y2 phonics, some children have been working really hard to read and write multi-syllabic words such as increase, enjoyment, lemonade and bumblebee.

Year 4 have had a lovely start to the week exploring our new library. Students have had the chance to explore the different genres of books that we have and record which ones hooked them the most. We also read a Rob Biddulph book together! Who is your favourite author?
