What is Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park junior parkrun?

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 2k event for juniors (4 to 14 year olds).​

When is it?

It is held every Sunday at 9:00am.

Where is it?

The event takes place at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, Worksop Road, Attercliffe, Sheffield, S9 3TL. See Course page for more details.

Easter Holiday Walking Trails for Families



Beyond the 4 Walls Family treasure trail walks are available here for schools to share with parents. There are two trails – one in the Manor area and one in Darnall. These are fabulous resources, really worthwhile and many families enjoyed them last year!

Sheffield City Council Recruitment Fair



Do you know of someone who would like to start their career with a Sheffield City Council apprenticeship?  Do you know of a school leaver who is wanting to ‘earn as you learn’ instead of a 6th form or college option? 


Then let them know about our Apprentice Recruitment Fair at the Town Hall on the 13th April ’22, 10am – 2.30pm.  We have some great opportunities and are excited to be able to hold the event in person.  Tickets are available to book online at Eventbrite.


Community Connector

Parents The latest edition of the Community Connector newsletter for Darnall ward is now out for delivery! It has been put together by a number of local groups and organisations, with content supplied by almost 40 different providers. Printed copies will be delivered to all households in Darnall ward over the next couple of weeks, and will also be available to pick up in a number of local places, including Tinsley Forum, Darnall Primary Care Centre, Galeed House, Darnall Library and Church of Christ in Darnall. Easter Holiday Fun Passport - It’s packed full of fun activities happening during the Easter holidays – from Sheffield challenges with Create Sheffield to music, sports and STEM camps and activities across Sheffield libraries too!  There are also links to our very own Sheffield CU home learning challenges and full list of our Learning Destinations, and those in Doncaster and Rotherham too! Beginners family history course, a fun course aimed at beginners wanting to know how to start researching their family tree.  On the course you can learn how to:-

Parents Level 1 award in caring for children.  This course is for anyone aged 19+ who wants a qualification in childcare and improve confidence if been out of education for a while - click here for further information

FACES Sheffield are offering a Level 1 childcare course in Darnall. The flyer is attached – although it gives a start date of 5th Jan, people can still go along to register at Subud Centre on Swarcliffe Rd on Wed 19th Jan at 9.30am.

Attercliffe Centre of Mission have started some creative sessions, to give adults a chance to get creative in a good space – , 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.
