The FS2 children have had lots of fun learning about the changes that happen in autumn. We went on an autumn walk around school and collected lots of exciting autumn objects, like leaves, seeds and conkers!

UNITED LEARNING'S CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION

Good morning families,

we would love as many of our children as possible to take part in the annual United Learning Christmas card competition!

This competition is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our pupils’ creativity and artistic talents. The winning design will be featured on the 2023 United Learning Christmas Card.

There are over 190 United Learning school's so it would be amazing to have one of our pupils selected as the winner this year!

All entries need to be in school by Thursday 19th October 2023 and given to class teachers.

Finally, we are only able to select three entries to send forward for the competition so we will be searching for the most creative pieces to send forward and represent our school.

We cannot wait to see our children's creations

World Mental Health Day - wear what makes you happy

* 🌎 WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 🌎*

Good afternoon families,

As a school it is important to us to recognise and support everyone's mental health.

To acknowledge World Mental Health Day, we are inviting all children to attend school in something that makes them happy on Tuesday 10th October 2023.

There will be no donations required for this event but we kindly ask that whatever your child chooses to wear is appropriate for school.

Thank you

πŸ¦‰πŸ¦‰ owls visit for nursery & reception children πŸ¦‰πŸ¦‰

As part of our topic on ‘It’s Getting Dark Outside’ and ‘Autumn’,
we will be looking at nocturnal and woodland animals.

On Thursday, 12th October we have invited the Wise Owl
Falconry to visit us with a range of birds including owls to support
our understanding of their way of life. To help us fund this visit we
are asking for £4.00 to be payable via the app which will include
a photo of your child with a bird.

Skeleton Song

In FS2 we're learning all about our bodies. This morning we sung the skeleton song, played 'skeleton says', then drew our own skeletons using chalk, oil pastels and pencil crayons.
