Dear families

On Thursday 2nd May The School Photography Company will be in school to take the children’s individual school photographs for parents to purchase.  As suggested by our parents we have arranged for the photographs to be available before Eid-ul-Adha, for those families wishing to use the photos as lovely gifts.
 
Please can you inform the school office by the 30th April if you do not wish for your child/children to have their photograph taken.

If you would like younger siblings to be part of the family photo, bring them round to the junior hall at 8am or after school at 3.15pm.  All other children will have their photos taken throughout the school day as normal.

Please join us in congratulating our Y4 pride and value award winning pupils this week.

EIS Y4 Visit

Y4 had an amazing day at the English Institute of Sport this week. at the Pre-Paris Olympic event. The children loved learning how to throw, play sitting volleyball and doing relays.

Y4 have been inspired by 'There's a Rang Tan in my bedroom' and will be producing a leaflet on the issues surrounding the palm oil industry. They sorted their facts into relevant subsections in teams, ready to add emotive language and rhetorical questions tomorrow! Keep an eye out after Easter for their completed leaflets in the reception area. Well done, Y4!

Y4 Root Word

Today in reading, we looked at words that we may not know fully and investigated the root of the word. From this, we saw that we did actually have an understanding! This activity helped us gain a greater depth of comprehension towards our new text on the Early Islamic Civilisation.
