πŸ¦πŸ“šπŸ˜πŸ¦’Y4 Reading Safari πŸ¦πŸ“šπŸ˜πŸ¦’

Year 4 went on a Reading Safari in the library to learn more about animals. First, each child chose an animal they were interested in. They then explored a range of non-fiction books to find information about their chosen animal, including its habitat, diet, appearance and interesting facts.

Using their research skills, the children searched for key information and recorded their findings on an Animal Fact Sheet. The activity helped them develop their reading and note-taking skills while encouraging curiosity about the natural world.

The children thoroughly enjoyed becoming animal experts and discovering fascinating facts during their library safari!

πŸŒŸπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒ OPAL Playtime Donations Alert! πŸƒπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒŸ

Dear families!

Our Opal Play project is a hit with the children during lunch times! πŸŽ‰ To make it even better, we’re asking for your help!

This week, we’re on the lookout for any old pots and pans, baking trays and sieves that you might have tucked away and no longer use. If you have any of these items, we’d love to give them a new home in our play sessions!

We’ve got some fun snapshots of the kids enjoying their lunchtime on the last week! πŸ“Έ

Thank you so much for your ongoing support!πŸ’–

Athlete Visit

Last week, we had a super special visit from Antony Cotterill, a Team GB Wheelchair Tennis Player! 🎾 He inspired our pupils to get moving and embrace an active lifestyle.

The children took part in some sports exercises and learnt about the importance of a good diet and nutrition. πŸ₯—βœ¨

Thank you, Antony, for being such a fantastic role model for our young ones! πŸ™ŒπŸ’ͺ
