Christmas Jumper Day - 13th December

Dear families

We’re asking pupils to make a £1 donation, or whatever they can give, to help save children’s lives around the world. The money we raise will go to Save the Children, making sure every child, no matter where they’re born, has essentials like food and water, healthcare, education, protection and shelter.

All your child needs to do is wear a festive, winter woolly. There’s no need to splash out on snazzy new sweaters to join in the fun: you could borrow or bling up an old woolly with a few decorations.

We’d really appreciate your support to make Christmas Jumper Day a success – it’s a great cause, so together, we can make the world better in our sweaters!

Healthy Eating

In FS2 we are continuing to learn about the importance of eating a balanced diet. The children sorted foods out into groups ‘healthy’ and ‘unhealthy’.  There was lots of great conversations about why foods might not be good for you.

Food Groups

The FS2 children learnt about the 4 main food groups protein, fruit and veg, dairy and carbohydrates, we discussed what foods could be found in each food group. Then children then drew their own balanced plates. We also sent home a copy of the eat well plate for you to look at and discuss as a family. Happy eating!
