Good afternoon families,

Please join us in congratulating our Y3 pride and value award winning pupils this week.

The nursery children collected autumn leaves and made leaf rubbing pictures to take home.

The FS2 children have learnt about the technique of collage. The children looked at lots of different types of collage and talked about witch one was their favour and why. They then made their own vegetable collage by ripping small pieces of tissue and overlapping them, before sticking them down.

🟢🟢 Evil Pea 🟢🟢

The evil pea is on the loose in High Hazels Academy and causing mischief, don't panic the FS2 children are on the case! They have drawn wanted posters and put them up around school. The reward for finding the evil pea is written in invisible ink, so you won't know until you help capture him! Keep your eyes peeled!

A huge thank you to Paul Grimshaw who came in to read his book to Y4- Alvin the Cat who Couldn't Cat. The students loved learning that it was based on a true story and that he is releasing his second book soon! Stay tuned for more Alvin updates

Dear families

On Tuesday 5th November hometime will be 3pm. This is to allow families time to arrive at Phillimore Park for the Lantern Parade for those who wish to attend.

In literacy in FS2 we were drawing our own settings. We used our imagination to come up with ideas for our settings, then we discussed our ideas with our partners before drawing them. The children came up with some fantastic ideas, from shipwrecks under the sea, to cities with erupting volcanos.

Y5 worked in pairs to complete multi-step problems.
