Y6 Enterprise Day

We have a very exciting opportunity for you! On Friday 21st March 2025, Matt Stewart from Entrepreneur Me is visiting High Hazels Academy to run an ‘Enterprise Day’ with our Y6 pupils. This is going to be a fantastic day for everyone!

Matt has created a short video inviting any parents/friends/family members, who are currently in employment, to volunteer their time to help the Y6s with their challenge for the day.

South Pole Expedition

This week Y5 had a fascinating visit from Murray Howitt who went on an expedition to the South Pole. It helped us understand Shackleton's Journey.

Some of our Y1 children visited EIS today. We developed our sports skills, worked as a team and finished second in the events tournament 😀 Well done!

Y3 have started World Book Day early by having story tellers from around the world.

We have loved listening to 'The Bear Who Went to War' with Grzegorz who is from Poland. Don't forget to wear your pyjamas tomorrow!

Careers Advisor Visit

Thank you so much to Sheffield Springs Academy for sending their careers advisor to do a session with Y4 on Tuesday.

Students learned about different jobs, careers, pathways and how lots of companies help young people find the training and future opportunities for them. It was very inspiring!

Y3 Darnall Church Visit

As part of our RE topic about Christianity & lent our Y3 children visited Church of Christ in Darnall this week. The children had a great time learning about Lent and Easter, tossing pancakes, and cross treasure hunt.

Pancake Day

The children in nursery have been making pancake pictures and eating pancakes for snack time.

Our Opal Play project is proving very successful with our children during lunch times. With help from our parents and carers we would like to make it even more successful. We are asking for donations, each week we will suggest a different item. This week we would like any buggies/prams that you may have stored away that you do not use anymore.
