School is now closed for the May Spring Bank Break! I hope you all have a fantastic break especially with all that sunshine coming our way!

It’s been quite a busy half term for us all! From FS2 Growing Day, the Lord Mayor’s visit, to our Bike ability sessions, Year 4 residential, Y3 and Y4 cricket sessions, and the EYFS open evenings and play-and-stay sessions—plus our visits to the Emergency Services Museum and Matlock Farm—what a whirlwind it has been! And guess what? There’s even more for us to look forward to next term!

I also want to take a moment to wish all our families a joyful and blessed Eid ul-Adha next week

So, mark your calendars! We can’t wait to see all the pupils back in school on Monday, 1st June 2026.

Good afternoon families,

Please join us in congratulating our Reception pride and value award winning pupils this week.

FS2 had an amazing time this week at our 'Colours of Africa' workshop! We dived into the vibrant culture by making delicious couscous salad, crafting rain shakers, grooving to some African dance moves, and creating our very own African masks and inspired bracelets.

We even got to taste some delightful traditional African snacks like Chim Chim! To top it all off, we enjoyed the wonderful story "Handa's Surprise" while munching on fresh mango, avocado, papaya, and pineapple. We truly had the best time exploring and learning!

Of course, we’ve been busy with our other lessons too, like sharing and grouping in math. Stay tuned for more fun adventures ahead! #ColorsOfAfrica #LearningThroughPlay

This week, we’re on the lookout for any picnic blankets, sandbox play toys, buckets shovels & molds that you might have tucked away and no longer use. If you have any of these items, we’d love to give them a new home in our play sessions!

And guess what? We’ve got some fun snapshots of the kids enjoying their lunchtime on the last week of term!

On Friday, 22nd May, the last day of half term, our PTA are hosting a **non-school uniform day** for everyone! All pupils are invited to come dressed in their favourite outfits.
