Little Red Riding Hood

📖📖Little Red Riding Hood 📖📖

This week in nursery, we've been diving into the enchanting world of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’! 🌲🌼 The children are having a blast acting out the story, and they've even crafted their very own picnic baskets in the creative area. 🧺✨ What a fun way to bring this classic tale to life!

🎉✨ Public Speaking🎤📚

Our Y4 students have been diving into the art of balanced discussions with great enthusiasm! They've been mastering the art of pausing, emphasizing key words, and standing tall with confidence. 🌟 It has been such a joy to see them shine while speaking in front of an audience and using their gestures to enhance their debates! Keep up the amazing work, Y4! 💪

🌍✨ African Workshop 🌍✨

What a truly special day FS2 had yesterday, celebrating the rich cultures, colours, and creativity of the African continent! Our Colours of Africa day brought the classroom to life with music, art, dance, and food and our little learners loved every minute of it! The children took part in a wonderful variety of hands-on activities designed to help them explore and appreciate the beauty of Africa. We made a Moroccan Carrot salad where the children got to mix, squeeze, and stir their way discovering new flavours and spices. Next, our creative artists got stuck into painting traditional African masks. With nimble fingers and colourful beads, the children crafted beautiful bracelets inspired by African jewellery. We made shakers with rice and pasta and decorated them with the bright colours of Africa. To finish off the day, we turned up the music and learned some energetic African dance moves! It was a day full of discovery, creativity, and joy, a wonderful way for our FS2 children to explore the diverse cultures that make Africa so special.

Exciting things are happening in Year 6 art class

We've been diving into the amazing work of artists who have experienced the refugee journey. Inspired by their stories, we've started drafting our own artworks! 🖌️

Using our sketchbooks, we created three drafts—each one better than the last! We loved adding notes to our sketches to capture our thoughts and ideas. Can’t wait to share the final pieces with you all! Stay tuned for more creative updates! 🌟
