Y2 Darnall Church Visit

As part of our Y2 RE unit this term "what questions does the story of creation make us ask" we will be visiting The Church of Christ in Darnall on:-

Monday 24th March 1-3pm - Y2 Moonstone and half of Y2 Sunstone

Wednesday 26th March 1-3pm - Y2 Diamond and half of Y2 Sunstone

If you would like to support our trip as a parent volunteer, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

Subheadings

Y4 students have been learning about subheadings. They discovered this helps them to group information, so it is easier to find facts and relevant information. Students have been learning about the devastation of palm oil farming, deforestation and its effects on our wildlife.

Chick Watch

A tiny miracle has unfolded in FS2 Opal! From watching the eggs rest in the incubator to witnessing the first little cracks, the children have been on an incredible journey of wonder and discovery. And today, the most magical moment arrived—they finally got to hold the newborn chicks! Soft, fluffy, and full of life, these tiny creatures brought endless smiles and excitement as the children gently cradled them in their hands. A truly unforgettable experience, marking the start of a beautiful bond between our little learners and their feathery friends! #livingeggs

Playtime Donations

Our Opal Play project is proving very successful with our children during lunch times. With help from our parents and carers we would like to make it even more successful. We are asking for donations, each week we will suggest a different item. We would still like any plastic bowls, colanders and saucepans that you may have stored away that you do not use anymore please.

A very big thank you to Mehtab in Y6 and his family who have made a very kind gesture and especially bought some bowls and spoons for our mud kitchen
