โ„๏ธ๐Ÿš‚Welcome to our Winter Wonderland! โ„๏ธ๐Ÿš‚

The children explored a magical winter wonderland sensory tray, filled with a train, little houses, shiny baubles, and soft “snow.” This hands-on activity encouraged imaginative play, sensory exploration, and lots of storytelling as the children discovered and created their own winter scenes.

So much learning and fun in one snowy adventure โ„๏ธโœจ

Christmas Card Making

The nursery children had so much fun making their very own Christmas cards, filled with paint, glitter, and lots of love. It’s been wonderful to see their creativity and excitement as they prepare something special for their families.

We hope these handmade cards bring big smiles and festive cheer! ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

๐ŸŽ„โœจChristmas fun with a learning twist! ๐ŸŽ„โœจ

The children enjoyed creating patterns using colourful baubles on our laminated Christmas trees today. This festive activity helped support early maths skills such as recognising patterns, sequencing, and problem-solving — all while having lots of fun!

๐Ÿ˜€Inherited or Environment๐Ÿ˜€

Do we inherit our eye colour and cool hair styles? Some, yes. We inherit aspects from our parents. But some things, like our trendy clothes, are variations from the environment around us. Y6 used their Kagan structures to sort through variations in humans today.

OPAL Playtime Donations

Dear families!

We’re excited to share that our children are having a blast during playtime, and the OPAL project is really taking off! This week, we’re on the lookout for any old laundry baskets, suitcases, wooden spoons, dressing up costumes, toy cars & dinosaurs that you no longer use. If you've got any spare items lying around, we’d be absolutely thrilled to give them a new life in our play sessions!

Also, don’t forget to check out some fun snapshots of the kids enjoying their lunchtime activities from last week! ๐Ÿ“ธ

Thank you so much for your ongoing support! ๐Ÿ’–

**FS2 Weekly Round Up!!**

What a fantastic week it has been for us! The children have been diving into their phonics learning and are really working hard to incorporate their phonics skills into their writing. This week in Literacy, we've been crafting "who doing what" sentences for the story *Stick Man*. The kids are mastering the essentials of a good sentence—capital letters, finger spaces, and full stops!

In Maths, we've been exploring capacity using mathematical language. Our little learners have been comparing different containers and describing them using terms like full, half full, empty, nearly full, and nearly empty. It's been such fun! And don’t forget, we’re gearing up for our Winter Sing-Along happening this Monday! ๐ŸŽถ We have two slots available—morning and afternoon. Tickets are still available, so be sure to grab yours today to avoid disappointment!

Next week marks our last week of term, and we’ve got some exciting learning planned! We’ll be focusing on learning about 1 more and 1 less in Maths, continuing our phonics adventures, and getting creative with some fun Christmas crafts! Plus, our Christmas Sing-Along is on Monday, and we have our big Christmas Party on Friday! What a thrilling week ahead! โœจ
