The Y4 team would like to invite Parents to a MEET THE TEACHERS BREAKFAST to give you the opportunity to share breakfast with your child and to chat with your child’s teachers.

We have been creating seed tape in our classrooms so that we can plant them out in our vegetable garden to grow lots of different herbs. We can't wait to see them grow!

FS2 are enjoying Ramadan by making some Ramadan cookies. We used rolling pins and cutters then we decorated them with icing and sprinkles! We had so much fun!!

Our nursery children are fascinated watching our caterpillars grow. They have built their cocoons now and we are waiting for them to turn into butterflies.

Year 1 have been learning about length and height. They have been using rulers to measure objects around the class.

Dear families

On Thursday 2nd May The School Photography Company will be in school to take the children’s individual school photographs for parents to purchase.  As suggested by our parents we have arranged for the photographs to be available before Eid-ul-Adha, for those families wishing to use the photos as lovely gifts.
 
Please can you inform the school office by the 30th April if you do not wish for your child/children to have their photograph taken.

If you would like younger siblings to be part of the family photo, bring them round to the junior hall at 8am or after school at 3.15pm.  All other children will have their photos taken throughout the school day as normal.

Y5 have been trying to find the perimeter of rectilinear shapes. We used lollypop sticks to help us understand the concept and to help use calculate missing sides.

Dear Parent/Carer 

Over the course of Year 3, we will be studying the Peak District in Geography. To support the children with their understanding of what the Peak District has to offer, we will be going on an educational visit to Matlock Farm Park in Derbyshire.  

The visits will take place on: 

Wednesday 5^th June for Year 3 Citrine and half of Zircon.  

Wednesday 12^th June for Year 3 Tanzanite and the other half of Zircon. 

To get a full day at the farm, we aim to leave school at 8.55am, so please drop your child to school at 8:40am. We expect to return to school by 4.00pm. You will need to collect your child from the junior hall. If there are any delays, the school’s office team will contact you by 3.30pm. To ensure you can receive any updates on delays, please check your contact details are correct at the school’s main office.  

We are asking for £15.00 per child which covers the cost of the coach and entry to the farm. Please return payment in full and consent via the Arbor app.

If you have any concerns or questions about payment, please speak to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible so alternative arrangements can be made. If there are any difficulties with using the Arbor app for payment, then please see the school office.  

For this trip, children must wear full school uniform including sensible shoes/wellies. You will need to provide your child with a packed lunch and a bottle of water with their name written on it. If your child is in receipt of free school meals a packed lunch will be ordered for them.  

In the event of wet weather, we are asking that all children bring a weather-proof coat with their name written in it.  

If you have any other questions or queries about the trip, please talk to your child’s class teacher.
